We’re currently looking for volunteers for our December ‘23 trip to kenya
Do you have a passion for film, television and/or digital media, with a desire to help lift up others with the same aspirations? We’re looking for a variety of folks, with varied backgrounds and experiences, though especially interested in people who act, write, direct, DP, or do production, costume, hair or makeup design. Those with an interest in youth empowerment are also highly encouraged to get in touch.
While we have a variety of pre-made curriculum, we’re exited to work with folks who bring their own unique takes.
The trip will include attendance at the 2023 African Film Festival, with local tourism at Kit Mikayi, the Impala Park, Lake Victoria, etc., followed by delivery of the training program. For those looking to travel following the program, we’re happy to help with the arrangement of travel on Safari, to Nairobi, etc.
We can promise you, this will be the experience of a lifetime!
When: December 13 to 21 (approximate dates)
Where: Kisumu, Kenya
Cost: You will be responsible for the costs of your trip, with funds being paid to United in Film (a registered 501(c)3 charity). UIF will then take care of all travel/accommodation/food/etc. arrangements. The total cost will be confirmed based on your specific arrangements, but can be expected to total between $3,500 and $4,000.
